About RIT
Dr. M. S. Ramaiah, a philanthropist, established the ‘Gokula Education Foundation’ in 1962 with the aim of serving society. Under this foundation, M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) was founded the same year, becoming a landmark in technical education in India. MSRIT offers 18 undergraduate and 13 postgraduate programs, all approved by AICTE, with eligible programs accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Since 2007, the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) have granted MSRIT autonomous status for both UG and PG programs. In March 2021, the institute received an ‘A+’ grade accreditation from NAAC for five years.
MSRIT boasts of around 380 qualified faculty members, 70% of whom hold doctorates. The institute is renowned for its state-of-the-art laboratories, individual computing facilities for all faculty members, active research departments with sponsored projects, and over 350 scholars pursuing Ph.Ds. To enhance the research culture, MSRIT has established several Centers of Excellence, including those for Imaging Technologies, Advanced Materials Technology, Antennas and Radio Frequency Systems, Cyber Physical Systems, and a Schneider Centre of Excellence.
The campus features an Entrepreneurship Development Cell and the Section 8 company “Ramaiah Evolute” to support startup incubation. MSRIT’s robust Placement and Training department, effective Mentoring/Proctorial system, comprehensive Sports department, and extensive air-conditioned library with a vast collection of books and journal subscriptions enhance student experience. The Digital Library subscribes to e-journals from Elsevier Science Direct, IEEE, Taylor & Francis, and Springer Link, among others. MSRIT is a member of DELNET and the VTU E-Library Consortium, and it houses a modern auditorium and several high-tech conference halls with video conferencing facilities. The institute also provides excellent hostel facilities for both boys and girls.
MSRIT alumni have achieved distinguished positions globally and maintain strong connections with the institute through an active Alumni Association. In the year 2023 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, MSRIT achieved a ranking of 78th out of 1143 top engineering institutions and 23rd for its school of architecture among 105 institutions in India. It is notably the highest-ranked engineering college affiliated with VTU in Karnataka.
About ICRAES
The International Conference on Recent Advances in Engineering and Science (ICRAES) is a prestigious conference series hosted by the Ramaiah Institute of Technology, beginning in 2012. This biennial event has established itself as a significant forum for the exchange of cutting-edge research and innovation in engineering and science.
ICRAES 2022
The most recent conference, ICRAES-2022, upheld its tradition of excellence with a theme centered on "Next Generation Materials and the Use of Novel Engineering Materials." This event was held on October 13th and 14th, 2022, at the M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, brought together delegates to share their insights and innovations.
The conference was jointly organized by the Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, and Industrial Engineering & Management. It emphasized both fundamental and applied aspects of engineering, focusing on advanced materials and smart technologies.
The inaugural session was led by Dr. M R Jayaram, Chairman of Gokula Education Trust. Keynote speeches were delivered by Prof. Dr. J. N. Reddy, O’Donnell Foundation Chair IV at Texas A&M University, College Station, and Shri. M. Z. Siddique, Director of GTRE, DRDO, Bengaluru. These prominent figures in engineering and technology focused on the latest trends and future directions in sustainable development. Around 175 research findings from different domains were presented.
ICRAES 2024 - Aligning with the SDGs
Building on the successes of previous conferences, ICRAES-2024 aims to align its objectives with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This upcoming conference will provide a dynamic platform for leading academicians, scientists, researchers, and scholars to share their latest research findings on next generation materials. Participants will engage in discussions on practical challenges and solutions, establish research relations, and seek global partners for future collaboration.
Key areas of focus will include :
- Sustainable industry and innovation
- Environmental solutions
- Urban development
- Health and biomedical innovations
- Advanced materials and nanotechnology
ICRAES-2024 promises to be an enriching experience, driving forward sustainable development and promoting a collaborative spirit among the global research community.
As part of the conference, we are actively seeking full research papers that align with the theme "Next Generation Materials". We welcome papers from all fields of Engineering that are relevant to this theme. All papers will undergo a rigorous peer-review process by our distinguished panel of experts. Accepted papers will have the opportunity to be presented during the conference, and selected papers may also be considered for publication in our conference proceedings or affiliated journals. Topics of interest include, next-generation materials aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
